Open Seminar organised by Nottingham Trent University School of Art and Design in association with a range of city galleries and studios. Alfredo Cramerotti in The Studio at BROADWAY Media Centre – A writer and curator of QUAD, Derby, Alfredo speaks about the way that contemporary art uses journalistic and documentary processes and how an aesthetic approach, in turn, can be implemented into the journalistic realm, which is the theme of his new book, “Aesthetic Journalism” (Intellect Books & büchs’n’books — Art and Knowledge Production in Context, Volume 2, 2009) "Aesthetic journalism, in my view, should work on the border of reality and fiction, using documentary techniques and journalistic methods but self-reflecting on those means; ultimately, it is not about delivering information but questioning it, reversing the tradition of both fields (art and journalism)."
